The client is a leading UK financial services group focusing retirement income market with more than 650,000 corporate and individual clients with a goal to provide cutting-edge services to a wider group of people ensuring achieving a better later life. The business has a pension-related product that guarantees customers an income for life. They sought Godel’s advisory expertise to successfully turn their objectives into a market-ready product. During the strategy development stage, the client wanted clarity on several key areas: where to invest for product development, how to adapt the product in a changing market while adhering to constraints, how to align digital transformation with the business plan, and how to formulate a strategic plan for the upcoming years.

Firstly, The Godel team investigated the product’s business model to address the key pain points while identifying opportunities for improvement. By identifying and evaluating these challenges, Godel was able to develop a strategy that was guided by clear goals and measurable KPIs.

The next phase was prioritising these opportunities using an evaluation framework, which includes a comprehensive effort/value matrix to ensure resources are allocated efficiently. For the highest-priority opportunity, a service blueprint was created to define the target state. Godel also recommended the best technology options to support the selected opportunity, considering the effort required for each.

The ‘Target Customer Experience’ was then clearly articulated and enhanced through the development of prototypes, ensuring that the final product delivers a seamless and impactful experience for users.
